What's the Savannah cat mean ?
The Savannah is a hybrid feline resulting from the crossing between a domestic cat (Felis catus) and a Serval (Leptailurus serval, small wild feline of Africa), from where its belonging to the non-domestic species for the generations from F1 to F4. The first specimen was born on April 07, 1986 at the breeder Judee Frank in the United States. In 2001, the TICA accepted the registration of the Savannah breed. The specimens of generation F5 to F7 are accepted in exhibition at the LOOF since 2007.
